I visited Frankfurt in January 2008. It is a great mix of the new and old world. Old cathedrals and houses line the River Main while a plethora of new skyscrapers create a new downtown.
Frankfurt is the banking capital of Germany and is known as 'Main-Hatten' (a play on it's financial status and the River Main). Be sure to visit one of the authentic German restaraunts by the the Romer (City Hall) and order up some Wiener schnitzel und bier.
Shown at right are two slightly different angles taken from the Alte Brucke (Old Bridge) looking west down the River Main into the sunset...an incredible view.
