"Two Alarm"
(New York City)
Oil on Canvas, 16 x 20 inches
(41 x 51 cm)
For future Charity Auction
More on this piece:
It depicts a winter firefighting scene in a neighborhood of New York City.
This was my submission for the annual members 01 AUG 09: McKinney Avenue Contemporary (MAC) Show: “Fifteen.. ANYTHING!” (Look closely and you'll find 15 firefighters;)
After watching a few seasons of 'Rescue Me' I wanted to paint a firefighting scene worthy of a George Bellows comparison and to honor my uncle Jim Henry's (Elyria FD ret.) service.
I'm planning to donate this piece to a TBD firefighting charity or museum.
