During my vacation trip to Russia I was enthralled by St. Petersburg's beautiful architecture even on a dreary Fall day (which one would envision as typical Russian weather).
The Czarist capital of Russia created by Peter the Great is a splendid mix between Parisian architecture and pastel facades and Venetian-like canals. This painting captures the beauty of this city even on a morose modern day, with power lines arching the canals, orthodox churches, and historic buildings that is Russia’s finest city.
